Four years ago I was inspired to publish my children’s book. A Tenrec Named Trey (and other odd lettered animals that like to play), offers a playful look into the lives of some of the amazing animals from the animal kingdom.  Written in poetic lines, my hope was this book teaches life lessons including sustainability. The book is 60 pages and includes 8 different stories. I choose real animals, whose names start with the end of the alphabet, to help teachers struggling to find a connection to wildlife. Sure, their intentions are strong at the beginning of the year – A is for apple, anteater and armadillo – but when the end of the year comes, it’s tiresome.
