Earth Day Giveaway, Day 1: Elephant POOPOOPAPER Twine Journal

Twelve years ago, a husband and wife, started Alternative Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd. and the POOPOOPAPER brand of recycled papers made from poo. What a concept! Perfect to kick-start our Earth Day Giveaway Sweepstakes event, running from April 17-Earth Day (April 22).

The company this past week told me, “We like to think that our products and the story behind them convey the important message of sustainability.  We believe that our company is one of increasingly many companies that set a positive example of how businesses can better balance the need for sustainability with the pursuit of profit.”

By supporting this company and by purchasing their POOPOOPAPER products for yourself or as a gift, consumers are helping spread this much needed message of sustainability.

Who wouldn’t love one of these Earth-friendly items?

“While we believe that Earth Day should be every day….so the saying goes…we do believe that THE Earth Day is an important day every year,” the POOPOOPAPER company says. “As an annual global event, it brings much needed and focused attention to the environmental challenges we face and likely affects positive behavioral change among millions of people.”

According to their website, “POOPOOPAPER™ products are handcrafted, natural, tree-free, recycled, upcycled, odorless (of course), functional, memorable, unique paper and stationery products made from poo.”

And then the puns start flying. Like, pull up a STOOL to check out our webstore called, THE POOTIQUE’. The items are perfect for note taking, art DOOdling, sketching and travel journaling!

On their website you can even shop by POO type. From cow, horse, panda (yes, please!), moose, donkey or elephant they have a poo product for you! And after the laughs, make sure you check out their conservation section like Planet and People or Conservation Commerce.

POOPOOPAPER is donating an “Earth Day IS Every Day” Elephant POOPOOPAPER Twine Journal  valued at $14.99. The artwork, by artist Patty Lode, captures the exotic and delicate art of Thailand in this magical and imaginative scene, featuring a beloved elephant enjoying a whimsical sunrise.

To create various colors of Elephant POOPOOPAPERTM the company uses dyes created from food coloring. Journal dimensions are 7 x 7.75″ and the outer covers are thick and sturdy. This Batik Inspired collection also features our new twine binding, which adds to the authentic and unique, hand-crafted aspect.

Inside, 20 Smooth and blank pages of Elephant POOPOOPAPERTM await your DOOdling.

All journals are pre-ticketed and packaged in a clear protective jacket that allows you to read the complete story of Elephant POOPOOPAPERTM inside the rear (where else?) of each jacket.
