A marine iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus) basking in the equatorial sun of the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Found only on this special chain of volcanic islands, this lizard is unique for its ability to forage in a marine habitat, diving as deep as 30 feet to feed on algae.
